Chinese prefolds arrive flat and kind of stiff looking. But they fluff up beautifully after a few washes and will be plush and absorbant. (Photo shows washed diapers)
Prefolds need to be washed 3-4 times prior to use and separate from any other diapers to remove natural oils. After these initial washes, you may use them and wash with other diapering items. However, they will not be fully absorbant for another few washes.
